Lottery / Commercial Manager

Hunslet RLFC are a semi – professional Rugby League Club based at South Leeds Stadium in Leeds currently playing in League 1. The Club is wholly supporter owned and largely run by volunteers. Applications are being invited for the post of part time Lottery and Commercial Manager to help grow the Clubs financial profitability and sustainability. The applicant will be expected to work 2 days per week and the Club is flexible around which days those would be.

Job Spec

The role would include:

Lottery side:

  • Liaison with Lottery Agents
  • Membership database control and maintenance
  • Liaison with FD on financial forecasts
  • Driving up new memberships
  • Lottery sales
  • Ensuring winners are announced
  • Annual review of lottery scheme and presentation to the Board

Commercial side:

  • Sponsorship database control and maintenance
  • Scheduling and conducting annual renewal meetings
  • Identifying and targeting new leads
  • Ensuring:
    • All games sponsored
    • All Players sponsored
  • Liaison with FD on financial forecasts

Person Spec

The successful individual will need: 

  • A background in Office Admin Work
  • Ability to use Word and Excel
  • Ability to work individually under own initiative or as part of a team
  • Access to, and willingness to use, own IT Equipment / Mobile phone
  • To agree to be bound by collective responsibility
  • To be prepared to sign Non –Disclosure agreement regarding sensitive Club information
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and correspondence on behalf of the Club
  • To demonstrate they have no outstanding or previous convictions / CCJ’s / bankruptcy proceedings
  • To confirm that they hold a Full , clean driving licence
  • A commitment to work flexible days / hours as the role requires
  • Commitment to work flexibly – Home / Office as the role requires

Salary

Basic Salary will be set at £7,500.

Commission

5% for all new business secured.
