Graham King was an elusive half back who scored more tries for Hunslet than any player since the club’s reformation following the departure from Parkside in 1973. He scored 132 tries in 242 appearances between 1979 and 1991. His finest season came in 1983 – 4 when he amassed 28 tries in 34 appearances to finish second in the overall try scoring chart. It was a persistent knee injury which curtailed an outstanding career at the age of 32.
