Hunslet have secured the signing of former Workington, Oldham and Rochdale outside back Joe Hartley for their 2025 Championship Season.
The 26 year old former Oldham St Anne’s man has scored 23 tries in only 50 professional appearances, and impressed Hunslet Head Coach Dean Muir in last season’s Hunslet/Rochdale clashes.
“Joe was someone we identified early in the year. He was a big threat at Rochdale with speed and strength. He has the ability to not only finish on the wing, but can play centre as well.
“Talking with Joe, he fits the mould of a Hunslet player. He is dedicated, hard-working and wants to improve.” said Muir.
Joe commented “I’m really excited to be joining Hunslet for next season. For me personally, it’s a proud moment to sign for such a great club that are making very positive steps on and off the field.
“After the amazing end to the season the team had last year, I’m looking forward to getting started with the boys, the coaching staff and everyone else at the club to work towards what I’m sure will be another great year for Hunslet.
“The championship comes with a whole new set of challenges next year but the club has rightly earned its place to be there and it should be nothing but an exiting opportunity for us all. It is a season that personally, I cannot wait to get started.
“I’d also like to thank Dean for his show of faith in me to bring me on board for 2025.
“I can’t wait to see all those great fans I saw last season cheering us on next year!”
Hartley is the third new signing for 2025 as Hunslet look to bolster their squad ahead of what should be an exciting season.
