Hunslet’s 1907/08 quest for all four cups took another step today as they entertained Broughton Rangers in the semi-final of the Championship Play-offs. Hunslet were looking to emulate Rangers’ feat of a few years earlier when they won both the Challenge and Championship trophies in the same season. The match was played on a very cold windy day in front of 11,000 spectators. Broughton were weakened by the absence of four regular players and having to play forwards at half-back and in the three-quarters They had a player off injured for around twenty minutes (no substitutes). Despite this, by half-time Hunslet had only registered one try and the conversion. The second half, however, was a different matter as Hunslet proceeded to score rapidly. Freddie Farrar, John Higson, Fred Smith, Tubby Brookes and Bill Jukes scored tries and Albert added four further goals as Hunslet progressed to the final, one of two to be played in the next fortnight.

The 1992/93 season finished today and from the 13 teams, Hunslet were 8th. The Yorkshire, Regal and Challenge cups all had early exits. David Brook with 20 tries was 7 clear of second placed Richard Francis and Andy Precious finished with 83 goals, 7 drop gaols and 197 points. The last match was at Keighley in the 1993 Premiership and Hunslet were 6-34. Oldham were the visitors in 2010 in the Challenge Cup 4th round and were soundly beaten 42-12.

The 1890/91 season ended with a 4 goals to nil win at Otley. 35 matches were played, 25 being won and 2 drawn. The Goldthorpes dominated the scoring, Albert kicking 37 goals and James 14 tries.

1913/14 saw a 10th place finish. Harold Buck had 21 tries and Walter Guerin 67 goals.

The Thirties were a productive time for Hunslet and 1932/33 came to a finish with a 5th place finish in the league and 3rd in the Yorkshire League., George Todd with 28 and Jack Walkington with 90 and 180 took the try, goals and points honours.

In 1984 at home to Bramley Graham King scored four tries to equal the post 1973 record set by Steve Lane.
