Commercial Director Sam Wood has stepped down from his role at the Club after 2 years. Sam has been working with the club since 2021, and a Director since April 2023. In addition, he has been a proud sponsor of the Club through his company, Advantage42, and his contributions helped towards our successful promotion push last season. During his time with us, Sam worked tirelessly with CEO Neil Hampshire to broker a multimillion-pound deal from an investment consortium to take ownership of the stadium. Ultimately, the Council turned down the proposition, but the groundwork laid has led to ongoing negotiations to secure long term ownership and development of significant parts of the stadium.
Sam will still attend games from time to time but will now concentrate on Advantage42, as well as spending more time with his young family. The Club would like to place on record their thanks to Sam for all his hard work and efforts, as well as his sponsorship, whilst with us, and wish him and his family every success for the future.
