For the second year running Hunslet are running a handwriting competition at 6 of our local schools. The initiative is the idea of Club Volunteer Pat Benatmane.
Pat explained “Year 4 children, aged 8 to 9 years are competing to win the Handwriting Competition. In its inaugural year, Beeston Primary and Middleton St Mary’s were enthusiastic entrants, with each Year 4 class having a winner, whose work was then put forward for a Champion of Champions overall winner. Last year, that accolade went to a pupil from Beeston Primary, and the prize was presented by the then Lord Mayor at the Middleton Show in September. This year, competition will be stiffer than ever, with 6 schools taking part.”
All entrants will receive a free match ticket and a special discount voucher for an accompanying adult. As ever, all under 16s are FREE, meaning children can bring along their friends and siblings at no extra.
The overall winner will be presented with their prize of a Hunslet shirt at The Great Middleton Park Show on September 14th.
