A belated happy New Year to you all and I hope you’re looking forward to the start of the season on Saturday at Lock Lane in the Challenge Cup. I’m sure I’ll see many of you there. With the added prize of a home tie against Huddersfield Giants to the winners, I’m sure it will be a good game.

As you’d expect, it’s been all go behind the scenes and I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thanks to a few people.

Firstly, a massive thanks to all those who have purchased season tickets so far. We’ve absolutely smashed our target so thank you! That said, we can’t rest on our laurels if we want to keep moving forward. So, if people can afford it, I’d encourage them to take out memberships. We’ve also still got a number of players requiring sponsorship, so why not think about taking up that option? Who knows, your birthday, house number or lucky number may still be available.

I’d also like to place on record my thanks to our social media team who’ve worked tirelessly over the closed season to keep you updated with everything that’s going on. Big wraps to Gaz Evans, Craig Irvine, Ian Pickles, Phil Hodgson and Tik-Tok legend DVS.

Further thanks go to TUFFS, especially Tim, Keith and Abigail for sorting out the online shop as well as designing all the merch, players training gear and our fabulous 2025 Kits. I have to say that the kits are going down a storm, especially the away shirt, so if you haven’t already got one, be sure to grab yours soon. We will be using the black kit for every away game where there is no colour clash.

Lastly, I’d like to place on record my thanks to all our volunteers, staff and Board for all their hard work and efforts that can often go unnoticed.

On the playing side, Darren, Dean, and the coaching staff have been putting the lads through their paces and, despite the loss of a couple of friendlies due to the weather, we are fully prepped and ready to go.

But we do have one more surprise up our sleeves for you all ! Watch out for a key signing announcement today.
