Following last week’s confirmation of the lockdown extension I wanted to take this opportunity to update you on how it is impacting the Club:

PLAYERS- The lads are currently working to individual fitness programmes and will return to full squad training at the beginning of March. GT is in regular contact with them and is pleased with the commitment and professionalism being shown. Not ideal but we will be ready to go once the season starts.

OFFICE – As the stadium is currently closed the best way to contact the Club is via email info@hunsletrlfc.com. Our office volunteers are working hard to ensure it remains business as usual.

LOTTERY – Our lottery partners NYCDA are temporarily reducing the prize money from 10th February due to reduced entries caused by lockdown. You will still be able to win a £1000 jackpot, plus £100, £50, £25 and ten £10 prizes every week and we will be adding a second non cash prize exclusive for Hunslet members.

The prize fund will be increased back to previous levels as soon as the latest lockdowns are released.

MERCHANDISE – The first order of merchandise is expected at the end of this week so we are anticipating delivering to supporters early next week. Don’t forget the next order window deadline closes on Friday 12th February.

With the lockdown now in place for the foreseeable we will not be investing in any stock for the South Leeds Stadium club shop. All merchandise sales will be online only until further notice.

Finally, I would once again like to thank all our supporters for their commitment over the last year.  It seems the greater the adversity the greater the determination to rise to the challenge.

As the saying goes “tough times don’t last but tough people do” – And so we shall again.
