Hunslet Rugby League club have appointed Mark Collin as Hospitality Director.
Collin succeeds Peter Jarvis, who has stepped down after six years in the role.
Neil Hampshire, who was confirmed as CEO at the south Leeds outfit’s recent elections, when Kenny Sykes (Chairman), Phil Hodgson (Finance Director) and Sam Wood (Commercial Director) were all re-elected unopposed, said: “I’m delighted to announce that Mark is joining us. He has, in following Jarvo, big shoes to fill, but I’m sure he’ll be a huge success.”
He continued: “Jarvo was responsible for linking us up with Mark and will, of course, remain with us as a club vice president, in fact he will be around the place as much as ever. Meanwhile, Mark brings much experience with him, from the bars and hospitality trade, and has already made a significant impact in the role whilst undertaking it on a provisional basis pending the result of the election.
“His determination to get stuck in from the start, and his ability to see the potential for the club in this area, demonstrates that this is another appointment that really strengthens our boardroom. I’m sure everyone will join me and the rest of the board in welcoming him to the `Hunslet Family’.”
Collin said: “Having spoken to Peter Jarvis over a period of time, and seeing the effort and passion everyone has at Hunslet – from the fans and all the way through the fabric of the club – it was an easy decision to make.
“To follow in Peter’s footsteps is a huge responsibility, which I fully intend to do justice to.”
He concluded: “I have big plans to introduce a full match-day experience at the South Leeds Stadium, which will bring a new and exciting addition to the club.”
All the very best Mark
Good luck in your role
