On receiving constructive feedback from members and supporters the Hunslet Board have reconsidered their decision to have a 2 tier ticketing price structure where “pay on the day” supporters are charged a higher price.
Chairman Kenny Sykes commented “It seems common practice these days for clubs to charge an additional fee for “walk ups” on the day and we had announced our intention to introduce this policy for our Challenge Cup game against Keighley on Sunday 30 January. However, we received a number of emails on the subject, and our members also voiced concerns at Tuesday’s AGM. The main concerns were how it may prevent/penalise some of our supporters in the community, who may not have access to the technology, from attending games”.
Sykes went on “As a club we are committed to the RFL’s Diversity and Inclusivity policy and will do our utmost to ensure no one is excluded. We will continue to look at how we can get the benefits of new technology in consultation with our members, supporters and volunteers”.
The price for online tickets and match day tickets are £15 adult, £10 Concession, £5 U21’s and U16’s FREE.
