Hunslet are delighted to announce the appointment of Tony Levison to the position of Club Vice President.
Chairman Kenny Sykes said โIt is no secret that the Club was in financial difficulties at the end of 2019 and the backing we have received from Tony, and continue to receive, has helped put us on a sound financial footing.
“Tony is a humble man who has asked for nothing in return for his generosity. As a Board we feel it is fitting to recognise his contribution in this way.”
Tony’s thoughts immediately went to his Mother who scolded him for “bunking” into Parkside to see his heroes. โMy Mam brought me up to pay my way.
“I know she will be happy that I have been able to make amends for my schoolboy misdemeanors. I’m extremely proud to receive this honour and do my bit for our great Club.”
Kenny commented โThe game is about to go through some major changes and it is important we have a strong team off the park to face the challenges ahead. Tony has been part of that team for a few years now.
“We’ve also been working hard behind the scenes over the last few months with inclusiveboards.co.uk to help us identify talented individuals who can further strengthen our Board. That process is almost complete so look out for further announcements over the next few weeks.”
Kenny you and the rest of the board are doing a brilliant job considering the only thing the RL is bothered about is super league
