Yesterday Hunslet RLFC welcomed Charlene and Michelle from Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice. They were joined in the hospitality area by representatives from all the warm up top sponsors.
After an introduction from Paul Taylor, Richard Moore was on hand to present the individual sponsors with a thank you gift of a signed team photo.
The guests from Wheatfields were then invited up to the stage and were presented with a cheque of £840 from the kind sponsorship. They were also presented with the framed number 1 shirt from the run of limited edition tops.
Charlene Graham from Wheatfields commented, “It was a pleasure coming along to the stadium yesterday to meet the team and sponsors.
“Without support from the local community Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice wouldn’t be able to continue to provide specialist palliative care to people across Leeds.
“A big thank you to everyone involved. We look forward to continuing our charity partnership with Hunslet R.L.F.C.”
A bit thank you goes out to the all the sponsors who have made this possible.
The club will continue to support Wheatfields through the year with the next event planned being a Race Night to be held in the Phoenix Bar in May. More details will be announced regarding this shortly.
