Hunslet have secured the services of former Doncaster, Featherstone and Rochdale forward Dean Roberts.
Hunslet Head Coach Dean Muir was delighted to make Roberts his first New Signing for the 2025 Championship Season having gone up against the former Rochdale man on numerous occasions during the 2024 Betfred League One promotion winning season.
“Everytime we played against Dean last season he caused us problems.” Said Muir. “He is big, direct and awkward to defend against. He has a good work rate and is looking to improve and challenge himself in the Championship.”
Dean commented “I’m really exited to be joining Hunslet. There’s a real big buzz around the club at the moment, and after seeing what they achieved this year, I’m looking forward to working with Dean and his team and getting around the lads.”
With potentially a lot more games to contend with next season, Hunslet will need to widen the squad and a player with the talent of Roberts should fit in nicely with The Parksiders as they return to the Championship for the first time in ten years.
Hunslet supporters will hope Dean can be as devastating in Myrtle, White and Flame as he was in Blue, Red and white against us last season.
