Ireland long-haul squad international Ethan O’Hanlon has committed himself to Hunslet for the 2025 Championship Season.
The 23 year old Forward affectionately named ‘Wrecking Ball’ by Hunslet Chairman Ken Sykes has come off the Interchange bench to devastating effect during the 2024 season.
“We’ve worked hard to keep Ethan” says Head Coach Dean Muir “He’s had a great season. He’s big, strong and direct and keeps getting better and better. The scary thing is I think we are yet to see the best of him”.
Ethan commented “I am so grateful to be given the opportunity to stay at Hunslet for the 2025 season.
“The players, coaching staff and fans have made me feel so welcome, and their support and encouragement means so much to me.
“I am looking forward to the challenge next season, it is going to be tough, but with the support, hard work and determination from players, coaches and the fans, I know we will come together again and have an amazing season.”
O’Hanlon made 18 appearances and scored 3 tries in 2024 and was a popular choice for Man of the Match during the regular season, but as with the rest of his team mates he really came in to his own at the end of the season playing regular games off the bench against tired defences.
Still a young man, the Championship will be a good test for Ethan as Hunslet look to strengthen their pack ahead of the 2025 season.
Great news. Well done everyone.
