Hunslet RLFC are delighted to announce the permanent signing of experienced forward Jordan Baldwinson on a 12-month contract.
The 32-year-old local forward, who made 12 appearances for the Parksiders while on loan during the 2026 season, commits his future to the South Leeds Stadium for the upcoming 2027 campaign. A proud product of the Hunslet Warriors community club (now Hunslet ARLFC), Baldwinson boasts deep family roots with the club and makes a welcome, permanent return to South Leeds.
With over 220 career appearances—including 23 in the Super League—his extensive experience from stints with Bradford, Featherstone, and York will provide invaluable leadership to Hunslet’s young squad this year.
Kyle Trout commented: “We are absolutely delighted to secure Jordan on a permanent basis. We all saw the immense impact he had on the squad during his time with us last term, but now it’s about building on those foundations and kicking on.
“‘Baldy’ is a player who leads by example every single day. He brings a massive amount of experience, genuine quality, and an uncompromising work rate to our environment. His leadership and commitment on and off the field really set the standard for what we want to achieve here.
“He adds some real steel and aggression to our pack, and I know the rest of the boys are buzzing to have him back. He’s refreshed, hungry, and ready to rip in again for the upcoming campaign.”
Jordan is buzzing to be ‘home’: “I am absolutely delighted to be staying at Hunslet for next season. Representing this club is something I’ve always wanted to do, and to have the opportunity to pull on the shirt of my hometown club makes it even more special.
“The club has always had a massive place in my family’s history. My great uncle Billy was part of a very successful Hunslet team back in the 1960s, so it’s incredibly proud for me to follow in his footsteps, represent my hometown, and help create some special memories of my own.
“Having that support from my family means the world to me—particularly my Auntie Jill Robinson MBE, who has been a lifelong Hunslet supporter. I know how much it means to her, and I know she’ll be buzzing to watch me pull on the myrtle and flame for another season. To represent the club she’s supported so passionately for so many years is a massive honour.
“I’m a proud Hunslet lad and I can’t wait to get back out there, rip in, and give absolutely everything I’ve got alongside my teammates for these fantastic fans.”
