Hunslet snap up young Wakefield star on season long loan

Hunslet RLFC are delighted to have signed Wakefield Trinity utility back Noah Booth on a 12-month loan deal.

In a breakthrough year with Trinity Booth made nine first team appearances in 2024, scoring three tries and has impressed the coaching staff with his ability and development.

He was man of the match in the penultimate game of the regular season against Whitehaven and is now looking to get regular game time in the Championship with Hunslet.

Sharp eyed fans will have seen Booth play for Hunslet last season at Stadiwm Eirias against North Wales Crusaders in which he scored a try in what was one of Hunslet’s best performances of the season.

The 20-year-old is the son of former Hunslet forward Craig Booth who played at Wembley for the Hawks in 1997, and scored the winning try against Widnes in the semi-final that earned the Hawks a flight south.

Coach Dean Muir said “Noah is a young man who needs to play consistently and we are lucky to have secured his services for next season.

“He is a natural centre who can also cover a variety of positions. He will play a vital part in trying to achieve our goals next season.

“Whilst on Dual registration for a short period last season he was a great pro and fitted into how we wanted to play. I am really excited to be working with Noah again.”

Noah commented “I’m extremely looking forward to joining Hunslet for the 2025 season. This is a great opportunity that will help me with my development as a centre and will enable me to gain valuable Championship experience in a good side.

“The Club is moving forward as a whole and i want to play my part in that.”

Another talented young player added to the ranks should make people sit up and notice this 2025 Championship Hunslet squad.
