Assistant coaches Kyle Trout and Michael Knowles have agreed to take charge of coaching the team in the interim period whilst the Board considers its options in terms of filling the current Head Coach vacancy. Further announcements in that regard will be made in due course.

Director of Rugby Darren Higgins said: “It’s been a tough week, as is always the case when a Head coach departs, but a huge thanks to Kyle and Knozza for stepping up at such short notice.

“The players are in no doubt that our games over the last few weeks, Featherstone excepted, have been way below the standards we expect.

“Whilst going to Bradford is never easy at the best of times, the players owe themselves and the fans a much improved performance and we expect them to deliver that. I’m sure the Hunslet faithful will help by motivating the team in their usual loud and proud way.”
