Hunslet RLFC can confirm two changes to the Club’s Board structure.
John Barlow will step up from his current position as a Non-Executive Director to become the Club’s Commercial Director.
In his new role, John will take greater responsibility for developing the Club’s commercial strategy, strengthening relationships with existing partners and identifying new sponsorship and business opportunities.
John said: “I’m delighted to take on the Commercial Director role. Hunslet has a proud history, a strong identity and a great story to tell. I’m looking forward to building on the relationships we already have, developing new partnerships and helping generate the commercial support needed to move the Club forward.”
The Club can also confirm that lifelong Hunslet supporter Louise Benatmane is stepping down from her Non-Executive Director position due to increasing work commitments.
Louise said: “Hunslet has always been a huge part of my life and that certainly won’t change. Unfortunately, work commitments mean I can’t give the Board role the time I would want to, but I’ll still be volunteering on match days and supporting community events whenever I can. Hopefully, at some stage in the future, I’ll be able to return to a more formal role with the Club.”
The Board would like to thank Louise for her contribution and commitment during her time as a Non-Executive Director and is delighted that she will remain actively involved with the Club.
We also wish John every success as he takes on his new responsibilities.
