Hunslet RLFC are delighted to confirm the signing of highly-rated young front-rower Jordon Baker on a 12-month contract.
The imposing young prop forward arrives at the South Leeds Stadium after progressing through the youth ranks at Hull F.C. Baker, a product of the amateur club West Hull, enjoyed a stellar developmental phase in East Yorkshire, earning a nomination for Hull F.C.’s Academy Player of the Year before transitioning into their senior Elite Talent Group and reserve grade setup.
Known for his uncompromising work rate, durability, and physical engine, the young forward adds vital depth and explosive power to the Parksiders’ pack for the upcoming campaign.
Speaking on the new addition, Hunslet Head Coach Kyle Trout said: “Jordon is a young man with a huge ceiling. He has come through a fantastic system at Hull FC, training alongside full-time professionals, and he is desperate to test himself in the senior game.
“He plays with real intent, sets a strong physical platform, and is a brilliant fit for the culture we are building here at South Leeds Stadium.”
Jordon commented on his move to West Yorkshire: “Signing with Hunslet is a massive opportunity for me. I’m ready to step out of reserve-grade rugby and prove what I can do at the competitive senior level.
