Covid has brought its challenges to everyone over the last 12 months and the Hunslet Rugby Foundation has not been immune to this.
School closures meant Michale Nuttall, our Development Officer, was furloughed and the uncertaintyย of what the future holds is a constant concern for everyone involved.
There is, however, light at the end of the tunnel. Michael is now back in schools and has recommenced the Beeston engagement project. The Foundation received further good news with the acceptance of a funding application to deliver a second engagement project in Middleton schools and a grant from the Garfield Weston Foundation to help fund our work.
Everyone at Hunslet is grateful to the Garfield Weston Foundation and the Inner South Community Committee for their support. Now, more than ever, regular physical activity is important to children’s wellbeing. We are proud to play our part.
