Further to the recent supportersโ meeting and the addition of Jason Peterkin and Damian Irvine to the board as Non-Executive Directors, the board of Hunslet RLFC wishes to invite further expressions of interest from interested parties who may wish to get involved at board level.
As outlined clearly at the start of November, the club is undertaking a twelve-week review to fully investigate all options and ownership models available and affordable to its owners – the Supporters – at this time and into the future.
Peterkin and Irvine have joined to assist and conduct due diligence on the club with a view to proposing possible options to members in January.
Whilst it has been made clear that a preferred model of future ownership is to retain a majority Supporter Owned Hybrid Model, it is important to Jason and Damian and all board directors that no single model is pursued in isolation and that the club hears from all interested parties who may seek to invest into Hunslet RLFC regardless of the model currently preferred.
Should a hybrid model proceed in future it will require a strong supporter-led board. To this end the board also welcomes interested parties who may wish to invest into the club in return for a shareholding and seat on the board to assist in governing and leading Hunslet RLFC into this exciting new chapter.
Should individuals wish to invest into the club in return for board positions, these would not be in lieu of elected supporter representatives who would also be welcomed and encouraged in future.
Please email info@hunsletrlfc.comย if you would like to arrange a discussion and meeting with the board.
Save The Date: Thursday 30 January 2020 is the day when the Board will report back and outline its future strategy following the due diligence process undertaken by Jason Peterkin and Damian Irvine. The meeting will commence at 7.30pm in the Phoenix Bar and all interested parties are encouraged to attend.
