The Hunslet Hawks annual Christmas Lunch has become an integral part of the social calendar of Leeds. It takes place this year on Friday 12th December at Headingley Carnegie Stadium beginning at 12 noon and lasting through the afternoon – and into the evening for those with stamina!
The festivities take place in the Long Room, overlooking the Yorkshire CCC pitch, beginning with a 4 course meal served at 12:30 and followed by guest speaker Geoff Miller, OBE, the ex England cricketer and Chairman of Selectors. Geoff has earned a tremendous reputation as an after-dinner speaker and he will be ably supported by “the Yorkshire Comedian”, Mike Farrell.
As usual, the whole occasion will be hosted by our master of ceremonies, Harry Gration, MBE. As well as the meal and entertainment there will be a couple of fun-activities and an auction, with proceeds going to the Hunslet Rugby Foundation, and the celebrations draw to a close at around 4:30.
The cost is just £40 per head so why not treat yourself and family or friends – or work colleagues – to a memorable start to the festive season? If you want a table to yourself, then these are available for any number between 8 and 12.
