Hunslet will renew their bid to secure promotion from Betfred League 1 in 2021 in kit designed by their supporters.

The Parksiders, who under head coach Gary Thornton led the section when the Covid-19 lockdown struck in March, are expected to again be among the front runners when action hopefully resumes at the turn of the year.

A spokesman said: “Already we are looking forward to 2021 with fresh enthusiasm, and with a new season comes a new kit.

“Club photographer Paul Johnson has been tasked with coming up with next year’s design. By his own admission he is no Coco Chanel so he is looking to supporters to send in their ideas for home and away designs.

“If you would like to get involved there is a thread on the Hunslet Facebook page where you can post your designs. It can be a screenshot from a kit builder site or a photo of a hand drawn effort; it’s your ideas we are looking for.”

The statement concluded: “The only condition at this stage is that the home kit must be myrtle, white and flame. For the away kit it’s anything goes.

“Paul will review the designs and propose a selection to the board for consideration in early September – so please get your ideas in by Monday 31 August.”
