Hunslet RLFC have added local Sales leader John Barlow to the Clubs board as non-executive Director

John is a highly accomplished Sales leader with a specialism for strategic partnership who joins the Hunslet RLFC board with a dedication to securing the club’s future at this pivotal moment of transition.

Born and raised in South Leeds, John’s passion for Rugby League is lifelong, driven by his family’s generational connection as fans of Hunslet RLFC and the incredible sporting heritage of the area.

Professionally, John brings more than a decade of experience in management in the Consumer Electronics industry, more recently focused on building high-value strategic partnerships that drive mutual commercial growth and leading complex technology sales. This background makes him uniquely placed to identify and introduce the right partners to join Hunslet as the club executes its search for investment to drive the club forward. He is focused on driving sustainable revenue streams, attracting the necessary investment, and ensuring Hunslet remains competitive.

John Commented: “Hunslet RLFC is the heartbeat of Rugby League in South Leeds. Growing up in Beeston I’m very familiar with the legacy of this great club for the local area and I’m excited to be part of the next phase of growth.

“After engaging with Neil and the board over the past few months it was clear that Hunslet is a great fit for my combination of skills, experience and ambition. I don’t take lightly the responsibility of identifying the right partner to work closely with to ensure our long-term success.
