Hunslet have further strengthened the off-field team with the appointment of Jason Peterkin to the position of Club Vice President.
Chairman Kenny Sykes said “Jason’s company, 247 Blinds, has been our main sponsor for a number of years now. It was his late father, David, who persuaded him to get involved in 2019 and the support he has given since has been amazing. He is passionate about the Club, knowledgeable about the game and his business acumen is a real asset to us. We are delighted to recognise his contribution in this way”.
Jason commented. “When I first received the letter from Kenny about this, I was shell shocked and a little emotional to be honest. My family have been Hunslet supporters since the club was first established and so I know my late dad, his brother Michael and my grandad would have been unbelievably proud, as am I. The club has been through some ups and downs over the years as we all know but it’s the hardcore supporters that keep us going. It will be an honour to help Kenny and our fantastic board of directors along with the numerous volunteers and helpers to make this club great again”.
Kenny continued “We look forward to celebrating Jason and Tony Levison’s appointments at our end of season awards night which will form part of Jimmy Watson’s testimonial dinner, in what promises to be a great evening”.
Fantastic news.
Congratulations Jason great news for the club a very passionate fella 👍
