The club & Notre Dame 6TH Form College have kicked off a partnership to promote Rugby League and the Hawks in the college.
The Hunslet Hawks now have a dedicated noticeboard in the college which has been set up in the sports department and has certainly brought the Hawks into the classroom environment for the college BTEC sport Learners.
In addition over 20 BTEC sport learners received a fantastic coaching session from Barry and Lois and they received a detailed insight into coaching children at grassroots level. The coaching masterclass certainly contributed to all our learners achieving at least the Merit grade for their practical coaching assignment which they completed recently.
Scott Broadley Head of BTEC Sport commented “On the learners behalf I would like to thank the staff at Hunslet especially Barry and Lois. The Hawks noticeboard will introduce Hunslet Hawks to our students and visitors of the college and we can keep track of recent results. I hope that we can continue to build on our partnership and develop our activities in the near future.”
