Despite the defeat to the Cougars 55 pensioners still enjoyed their day at the rugby and are already looking forward to their next visit.  The Club worked in partnership with the Ciaran Bingham Foundation Trust to give the old folk an Easter treat which included a meal and the best view in the house from the Grandstand Suite.

Community Director Phil Hodgson said “It was a great day and although the sun was shini ng it was still cold so it was good many were able to watch from the comfort of the Grandstand, though I suspect the fact the bar remained open was also a major factor. The work Ciaran Bingham do in the area is fantastic and we are proud to be in partnership with them. They will be returning soon as we help them celebrate the Queens birthday on the 21st April in the Phoenix”.

The event also raised awareness of the Priority Service Register operated by our community partner Northern Powergrid. By registering their name those vulnerable in our communities, such as the elderly and disabled, receive priority service in the event of a power cut.  To find out more about the register visit http://www.northernpowergrid.com/priority .
