Hunslet RLFC were saddened to hear that lifelong supporter, Nick Phillips, passed away on Monday after a brave battle with cancer.

CEO Neil Hampshire said “This is extremely sad news. Nick was a good friend and a popular figure around the Club, a true gentleman.

“His humour and pragmatism in both defeat and success, always taken with a pint in hand, will be sorely missed.

“I’m glad that his last memory of Hunslet will be of our promotion to the Championship.

“The thoughts and prayers of everyone involved at the Club are with his wife Sue, and his sons Stuart and Karl and their families at this most difficult time. RIP mate”

We will share funeral arrangements, once confirmed.
