The action kicks off early at this tonight’s fixture at the South Leeds Stadium with games starting at 6.30pm.

Tonight we have got under 10s teams from Leeds Irish and King Cross Park playing full contact rugby as well as teams from local primary schools Beeston St Anthony’s and Beeston St Francis of Assisi who will be playing tag rugby.

It’s a return visit for the 2 schools and the Leeds Irish club as we work with them throughout the season as part of our rugby league development plan for the city but it’s the first time for King Cross Park.

When the teams arrive they will be given the full VIP treatment with a tour of the stadium including meeting some of the Hunslet Hawks players, head coach Barry Eaton and of course Harry the Hawk, before getting their boots on and taking the field to play their pre match curtain raiser to the Hunslet Hawks v Halifax RLFC.

Gates are open early for supporters to come along and soak up the atmosphere that having children playing creates in the stadium.

The teams will also be going on the field to play again at half time.

In addition, we also have Oulton Raiders U7s attending the game to be player escorts for the Hunslet Hawks and walk out with the team for kick off.  It’s also the first time here for the Raiders, but keep an eye out for them,  as they are due to come back and play here in a couple of week’s time.
