Hunslet have re-signed Liam Carr for the 2025 season after the 22 year old utility forward stepped up into a new role at the end of last season.
Liam had previously come off the bench, but in the push at the end of last season Head Coach Dean Muir had him starting putting in hard yards and big defence.
Dean Muir commented “Liam was brilliant last season. He got better every week.
“He was patient and waited for his chance and when it came he took it. He works hard on his game and loves rugby league.
“I can’t wait to work with him this year and i know he will do everything to keep getting better.”
“I had to be patient, but when my time came I had to take it. Dean Muir, Ryan Jackson and Kyle Trout put their trust in me to play a different role, which I really enjoyed. I’m still young and want to learn and talk to the Coaching staff about how to be my best possible self.”
After 3 Seasons at the Club Liam’s 11 Appearances and 4 Tries in 2024 ultimately helped the Club gain promotion to the Championship.
“We finished really strongly last Season. The team wanted to play for each other and believed we could do it.”
Liam was also full of praise for the Hunslet faithful “At the back end of the season the support really took us home. The extra energy from the crowd getting behind us helped us over the line.”
With pre-season training for the 2025 season starting next week Liam was enthused about what’s to come
“We’ve recruited really well and I’m looking forward to meeting the new lads. It’s a big challenge playing in the Championship, but we all want to play and I’m really looking forward to it.”
Hunslet fans caught a glimpse of what Liam can do last season and will be looking forward to seeing him in action again in 2025.
