Hunslet Hawks can today announce that young halfback Jordan Gale & Prop forward Lewis Reed will join Hemel Stags on Dual Registration.

Jordan and Lewis will go into the Hemel squad for their League One cup tie against Oxford RL on Sunday 8th March.

Jordan made one appearance for the Hawks in pres season against the Salford Red Devils, but has since been out with a thigh injury. Jordan will be looking to make his mark at Hemel as he looks to continue his development with a view to breaking into the Hunslet starting line-up.

23 year old Lewis Reed who signed for the Hawks at the start of 2014 from Keighley Cougars, had an impressive 2014 making 17 appearances of the bench scoring 3 tries. Lewis will be looking to get some game time under his belt as he looks to make his way back into the Hawks 17.

Darren Williams commented “Jordan & Lewis are the first of our players to sign on Dual registration with Hemel, Lewis already knows the set up at Pennine Way having spent a period on loan down there 2 years ago whilst at Keighley. Jordan is young and still learning his trade, he picked up a thigh strain against Salford in pre season and has recently just returned to full contact training, this is the ideal platform for Jordan to play some men’s rugby and continue his development while continuing to train with our first team squad.”
