Hunslet RLFC are delighted to announce the loan capture of young Hull FC outside back Ryan Westerman.
Westerman made his first-team debut for black and whites in the final game of last season, playing against Catalans Dragons. He was one of several players promoted to the first-team after graduating from the academy last season and is highly thought of at the club, having played for England under-18s last summer.
Ryan made an impressive return from injury for the reserves this week in their 38-30 victory against Leigh on Saturday after recovering from a lengthy ankle injury that had kept him out for over three months.
Head Coach Dean Muir commented “Ryan is someone we have been following closely. We have been light in the outside backs and he is the right fit for us. He has good yardage carry and is also a left foot kick option. He works hard and we can’t wait to get working with him.”
Ryan will go straight into contention for Sunday’s home clash against Oldham RLFC. Tickets are available here
Nice to see such signings, it shows the commitment the club has to try and stay in the championship. Let’s hope all their efforts are rewarded. SWSA.
