The 2023 Betfred League 1 campaign is fast heading to its climax and Hunslet host Doncaster on Sunday (10 September, 6.00pm) in the first Promotion Play-offs Qualifying Semi-final.
The winner will enjoy home advantage in the Grand Final on Sunday 24 September while the loser will have a second bite of the cherry and will entertain either Oldham or North Wales Crusaders in the second Qualifying Semi-final, on Sunday 17 September.
Hunslet, who are unbeaten at home this year, enjoyed a `rest week’ last week as the reward for finishing second in the table. Head coach Alan Kilshaw said: “We’ve no injuries, other than usual bumps and bruises at this stage of the Rugby League season.
“The week off has been hugely beneficial to us. We have been able to get some rehab into the lads who needed it, and we have focussed on preparation and practice time on the field. We don’t need to talk up a game like this – it’s important we play the Hunslet way, and that we produce the best version of that model.”
`Killer’ concluded: “Doncaster are well resourced and are a very good team. The most important thing for us is to get our own game on; that’s what we have rehearsed, we are prepared for it, we are excited about it and we have prepared all year for this.”
Kilshaw’s 21-man squad for the fixture is: Jimmy Watson, Jack Render, Adam Ryder, Joe Burton, Nathan Conroy, Harvey Hallas, Sam Hallas, Steve Crossley, Josh Jordan-Roberts, Arron York, Michael Knowles, Jordan Syme, Lewis Wray, Jordan Bull, Spencer Darley, Alfie Goddard, Matty Beharrell, Johnny Campbell, Marcus Green, Myles Lawford, Oli Burton.
My friend and I, both hull fc supporters, are planning to travel over for the game. Daft question ,can we pay on the gate or do we need tickets?
