The role will require attendance at home matchdays only usually Sundays (with some Saturdays, Friday evening and on some occasions midweek). The Club Doctor will work with the Lead Therapist and a small team of student therapists in assessing and treating sporting injuries. A strong communicator is required to communicate with club officials, players and the multidisciplinary team effectively.

Role requirements:

• Assess and treat a variety of sporting injuries

• Managing pitch side treatment, including concussion and trauma

• Communicate with players and staff appropriately

• Document treatment in line with professional requirements Essential criteria

• Fully registered with GMC and practicing

• Personal Professional Indemnity Insurance

• Appropriate governing/professional body memberships

• Strong communicator

• IMMOFP Qualification held or commitment to obtain

Desirable criteria:

• Experience in semi-professional sport, ideally Rugby League

• Diploma in Sports Medicine or equivalent

• Experience leading a small team

• Experience with the medical management of sports injury

• Evidence based approach to managing sporting injuries

Remuneration Package:


Match Fee: £200
