Disabled/Special Needs Spectators
GENERAL
Hunslet RLFC fully supports the principle of equal opportunities, opposes all forms of unlawful or unfair discrimination on the grounds of disability, and will strive to comply with both the provisions and spirit of the Equality Act 2012 incorporating the Disability Discrimination Act.
We have a range of services and assistance available to spectators with special requirements, detailed below.
TICKET PRICES
Spectators who are in receipt of the Care Component of the Disability Living Allowance/Personal Independence Payment are eligible for a free ticket for their carer – although, in line with national guidelines, the cared-for spectator is required to pay the entrance fee appropriate to their age.
To receive this benefit, spectators should go to the Club Shop/Office in the Reception area on arrival at the Stadium to provide proof of entitlement. Alternatively, and to help speed up the process on match day, the request along with relevant documentation may be emailed in advance to chris.chatten@hunsletrlfc.com.
FACILITIES AT THE SOUTH LEEDS STADIUM
Disabled parking is available directly in front of the Main Entrance to the Stadium.
From the Car Park there is level access to automatic doors to the Main Reception area of the Stadium.
The Hunslet RLFC Shop/Office is located on the same level behind Reception and access to the stadium itself is also available here, along with a Disabled Toilet facility.
A lift is available in the Main Entrance to access the Hospitality rooms on the first floor. There are also a dedicated Wheelchair Viewing Platforms on the first floor for those who prefer to watch the game from there.
The Stadium has tactile signage and an Induction Loop.
