All but two of the teams from the South of the River region won their fixtures in Saturday’s National Conference League programme.

HUNSLET CLUB PARKSIDE are third in the Premier Division after recovering from 10-0 down at half-time to beat visitors Wath Brow Hornets 18-10.

Parkside, who had had Liam Thompson yellow-carded six minutes before the break for a shoulder charge, denied last year’s Grand Finalists any further score in the second period and, after getting off the mark on 58 minutes through Luke O’Malley, prevailed through subsequent tries by Elliott Morgan and, on 74 minutes, Casey Canterbury, with Andy Hullock converting each score.

STANNINGLEY, meanwhile, are third in Division One, courtesy of a 26-18 victory over promotion rivals Ince Rose Bridge. The west Leeds outfit set the agenda in the first half, when a 22-6 lead was established with two tries by Danny Salkeld, touchdowns by Ben Selby and Carl McGuigan, and three Eddie Crossland goals. And, despite having Tyler Hart red-carded on 53 minutes for an alleged spear tackle, Stanningley held off an Ince rally, partly through a clinching try on 77 minutes by Daniel Barcoe.

OULTON RAIDERS are only a point behind Stanningley, thanks to a 34-14 triumph at Myton Warriors.

The Raiders, who were always in control, took the spoils through a try and seven goals by Kieron Walpole, a Will Milner brace and touchdowns for Hal Day, Harvey Stevenson and Danny Mackintosh.

HUNSLET WARRIORS, though, lost 40-24 at Heworth in Division Two.

The Warriors recovered from 20 points down as the interval beckoned to just 24-16 behind, only for the York outfit to again turn the screw and go 24 points clear prior to Lloyd Templeton and Jake Corney grabbing late consolation tries.

Tyler Dargan had bagged an earlier brace for Hunslet, with Corney racing in and Jordan Gale landing two conversions.

Runaway leaders EAST LEEDS maintained their 100 per cent record in Division Three with a 96-0 stroll over Cumbrians Hensingham.

Luke Littlewood top-scored with 32 points from two tries and twelve goals, while there were hat-tricks for Nehemiah Mensah, Gaz Lally and Shane Plunkett. Moris Kamano (2), Jordan Russell, Ryan Wooffitt, Adam Gibbons, Andy Djeukessi and Ben Walkin close the account.

DRIGHLINGTON, who were only 30-28 behind to visitors Bentley, leaked a late try to lose 36-28.

Kieron Roche, Kieron Boulton, Liam Wright, Jack Richardson and Sam Markinson crossed for Drig, with Roche landing four goals.
