Hunslet RLFC are delighted to announce the permanent signing of experienced Championship centre, Jayden Hatton and Welsh international prop forward Ant Walker from North Wales Crusaders.
Hatton, 26, is a powerful ball carrier with a natural ability to find the try line and can play both the centre and wing positions.
Hatton started his career with his hometown side Widnes. His breakthrough 2019 season was highly successful; he scored 9 tries in 14 appearances, played in the 1895 Cup Final at Wembley, and was named the Widnes Vikings Young Player of the Year.
He has since enjoyed a fruitful career to date at Championship level, having successful spells at Swinton and Featherstone respectively. Scoring 57 tries in 114 appearances.
Jayden scored 5 tries in 8 appearances for the Crusaders during the current season.
Walker, 34, started his career in the Super League with St Helens and Wakefield Trinity, prior to enjoying spells at Bradford Bulls and Widnes Vikings. Last season, he was with Swinton Lions in the Championship.
Current international Walker has represented Wales 15 times and featured in both the World Cup and European Championships.
He made a try scoring debut for the Parksiders in Sunday’s 1895 defeat at Oldham. His size and experience will be invaluable for Kyle Trout as he looks to bolster his squad.
Jayden and Ant will link up with Kyle Trout’s squad on Friday night ahead of our Betfred Championship clash away at Whitehaven.
Kyle commented: “I am delighted to confirm the permanent signing of both Jayden and Ant.
“Jayden is a strong addition on the edges who brings physical presence, dominant yardage carries, and a high level of skill.
“Ant has a wealth of experience and demonstrated last Sunday at Oldham the impact he brings with his physicality and ability to disrupt in contact.
“I’m looking forward to having both Jayden and Ant in our environment and seeing them thrive in our systems.”
