At yesterday’s board meeting it was decided to postpone the 2020 HIST elections so that current members can give full attention to the significant challenges facing the club as it relates to the Covid-19 virus.
You may have seen the message posted on the club website updating you on a range of related issues and decisions made so far. But these are fluid, unprecedented times that will place even greater demands on the board as we navigate the crisis. Therefore we have taken the reluctant decision to postpone the elections.
However, if you have already applied for any of the board positions (or were thinking of doing so) or believe you have skills that could assist the club at this difficult time, please speak to Kenny Sykes. I’m sure we can find something interesting for you to do.
Phil Clapham will be in touch once we are ready to run the elections again. Hopefully that won’t be too long away.
