Yet again Hunslet Hawks had a disappointing second period and let slip a half time lead.
This time it was not on the field of play, however, it was in a Sports Quiz organised by the Calverley branch of the Leeds Rhinos supporters club.
The Hawks team included Chief Executive Darren Williams, General Manager Peter Todd and Foundation Manager Martin Flynn, along with colleagues and friends, but despite these distinguished representatives, they could not hold on to the lead that they held at the midpoint of the quiz.
The Hawks did have the consolation of beating the Leeds Rhinos team, although this did have a strong Hunslet Hawks connection, with James Duckworth and Jimmy Keinhorst joining Leeds Rugby Foundationโs Dan Busfield to represent the Rhinos.
The Hawks took along the Kingstone Press Championship 1 trophy to show off to the packed room and also took part in a Question and Answer session in an enjoyable evening.
The return match in the Phoenix is being planned!
