Hunslet have confirmed a healthy increase in members following the rallying meeting two weeks ago at the South Leeds Stadium.
Fans in a packed Phoenix Bar agreed that the club will continue to operate as a supporters-run organisation, with long-term supporter Jason Peterkin and former Cronulla chairman Damian Irvine poised to join as non-executive directors.
Irvine made it clear at the meeting that he and Peterkin hoped to see a growth in membership – and Hunslet are delighted to report an immediate and highly positive response, with a 38 per cent increase in just ten days.
The clarion call, meanwhile, has gone out for more to join as the club seeks to ensure its long-term future.
A range of packages are on offer to suit all budgets, ranging from the recently-launched `Spirit of 73’ Geoff Gunney Membership (in homage to the all-time great who helped launch New Hunslet following the sale of Parkside in 1973), which costs just £5 per annum, to the £50 per month Frank Watson VIP membership, which secures a season ticket, match-day hospitality and a seat at the directors’ table at an away match.
The Graham King Gold Membership, at £26 per month, secures a season ticket and other benefits, while the Mick Coyle Silver Membership (£21 per month) offers a £50 discount off a season ticket, plus benefits.
Hunslet, meanwhile, have pegged season tickets at 2019 prices at £120 (£70 concessions, under 16s free).
