WHY WE ARE CROWDFUNDING?
You don’t need us to tell you that your club is important. You know it is- you’re supporter owned. You can own a part of it, and make the decisions that really matter to its future.
We’re running Supporter Ownership Week this week as a celebration of ownership of clubs by people like you, and during it we’re running a series of events to showcase the work that people like you do to make supporter ownership happen at a club.
We’ll be bringing you the stories of the people who make it possible, and telling the World about why what you do is pioneering, and why we want to do more of it.
To make that possible we’ve also launched a crowdfunding campaign so that we can make it possible for others to take the same journey, so that others just like you can really say: “Ours”. We’d love you to supporter it and pledge. We have a number of rewards inclduing the our supporter ownership week t-shirt above for £25.
Every penny that we raise from Supporter Ownership Week will allow us to:
Create
• More supporter owned clubs and provide professional support to assist in club conversions
• New supporter ownership opportunities by working with (and establishing more) supporters trusts
Build
• Look for funding opportunities to benefit supporter owned clubs
• Develop policy, research and share best practice to benefit supporter owned clubs
• The network of supporters trusts to en sure there is a credible and robust vehicle to own a club via its supporters.
Promote
• Supporter ownership as a concept across the U.K using a number of domestic and European success stories
• Supporter owned clubs to opinion leaders across sport and beyond
• Run events and campaign for supporter owned clubs including networking

Supporters Direct,helps and supports 39 supporter-owned clubs across three different sports.We also represent over 180 supporters’ trusts in the UK which represent the interests of over 700,000 individual members.
Supporters Direct has helped to establish over 39 supporter owned clubs and continues to support a network of over 190 supporters trusts who have been set up to represent and increase the influence of supporters.
