Confirmation by the Rugby Football League that the 2021 Betfred League 1 campaign is set to start in May has been welcomed by all at the South Leeds Stadium – and several players have perhaps more reason than most to be relieved.
The Parksiders’ squad includes a number of men who are targeting the autumn’s World Cup, which is due to take place in this country.
Jamaica, in particular, could have significant Hunslet representation – but those players will of course have to prove themselves to the Reggae Warriors’ selectors to earn inclusion.
Hunslet’s hopefuls are Jordan Andrade, Jy-Mel Coleman and Aaron Jones-Bishop, will aim to hit the ground running from the start in what could be the year of their lives in Rugby League terms.
