The nominations for the 2015 Kingstone Press Championship and League 1 awards have been confirmed.

In the Kingstone Press Championship, Paul Rowley of Leigh Centurions is shortlisted for Coach of the Year for the third time alongside Halifax’s Richard Marshall and James Coyle of Whitehaven.

The 2014 Championship Young Player of the Year, Ryan Brierley of Leigh is in the running for this year’s Player of the Year award and features on a three-man shortlist with Lee Gaskell of Bradford Bulls and Halifax’s Scott Murrell.

Two Featherstone Rovers players are vying for the Championship Young Player of the Year award with Jordan Baldwinson and Thomas Minns joined by Joel Farrell of Dewsbury Rams on the shortlist.

In Kingstone Press Championship League 1, James Ford, in his first season as coach of York City Knights, is shortlisted alongside Scott Naylor of Oldham, and John Duffy of Swinton Lions for the Coach of the Year award.

The Player of the Year award in League 1 sees two nominations from Oldham and two from Swinton Lions. Oldham captain Lewis Palfrey and team-mate George Tyson are shortlisted alongside Swinton’s Richie Hawkyard and Andy Ackers.

The League 1 Young Player of the Year shortlist features players from three different clubs. Ben White of Swinton Lions, Greg Minikin of York City Knights and Newcastle Thunder’s Matty Beharrell, who was shortlisted for this award last year.

The winners will be announced at the 2015 Kingstone Press Championship and League 1 annual dinner in Manchester on Monday September 14.
