Hunslet have re-signed Alfie Goddard for the 2025 Championship Season.
The popular three-quarter has played most of his Rugby for The Parksiders on the wing, but at the end of last season moved into the Centre helping Hunslet win the Play-off Final at Keighley and gain promotion against Swinton.
Dean Muir commented “Alfie knows his way to the try line. During our Play-off run he took his game to the next level. He can cover multiple positions and will only get better.”
“I’m thrilled to be staying at Hunslet for my 3rd Season.” said Goddard. “Especially going into 2025 after achieving something great in 2024 with a great set of lads.”
“Most people wrote us off before the season started last year, but we achieved promotion and I’m sure we will be able to shock people again.
“The players and coaching staff we have will relish the challenge of being in the Championship, and with the amazing support we had from the fans we can continue to make the Club proud.”
It’s a cliché to call players a ‘fan favourite’ but Hunslet supporters will love to see Alfie back in a Hunslet shirt for 2025 if only to sing his song ‘one F in Alfie’.
One things for sure, this popular three-quarter will bring attacking flair to an already exciting looking Hunslet squad.
