Hunslet travel to League leaders Oldham this Sunday (June 30th 2pm) full of confidence they can put in a good display. Despite losing heavily to the Roughyeds earlier in the year Coach Dean Muir believes his side are a different proposition to back in early April.
“It’s all about us. The game in April they humiliated us. We are a lot better team than that and we have to look at ourselves. We are a lot stronger 17 now and owe the club and the fans one.”
There may be changes in the starting 17 after last weeks’ defeat to Rochdale. Jack Render is unavailable and Joe Law again comes on Dual Registration from Wakefield.
Speaking of the Rochdale defeat Muir ruminated “It was one of those days, a ‘one off’ game where we didn’t do ourselves justice. Individual errors and discipline cost us, we should have beaten Rochdale.”
It’s true the bounce of the ball went against Hunslet, but you have to make your own luck sometimes and the Parksiders will need a faultless 80 minutes at Boundary Park if they are to take the win on Sunday.
