Hunslet have struck early to secure a big name for their 2025 Betfred Championship Season.

Keelan Foster, a 25 year old front rower has Championship experience at Bradford, Doncaster and Halifax and will bring extra strength and power to a Hunslet pack already taking shape for the 2025 season.

Foster made 17 appearances in Doncaster’s 2023 promotion winning season before joining Halifax on deadline day last season.

“Keelan was one of the names straight onto our list after we were promoted.” said Head Coach Dean Muir. “His size, strength and Championship experience made him a player we needed to sign.

“He wants to improve every week and has set himself big goals for next season and beyond. His dedication and desire to improve makes him a perfect fit for our squad.”

Keelan commented “Firstly, I would like to thank Doncaster and Halifax for the opportunity last season and wish them all the best in the future.

“I’m really excited to get started with Hunslet, who are a club that are on the up and I want to be a part of that journey.

“I feel like this move will be good for my development as a player and a person, and I’m looking forward to getting started with the team, coaching staff and fans.”

Muir and his back-room team will be delighted to have secured a mouth-watering signature for next season as Hunslet look to make their mark in the Championship and attract big attendances to the South Leeds Stadium.
