Head coach Gary Thornton has today named his squad for Sunday’s 4th round Ladbrokes Challenge Cup clash against Bradford Bulls. The game takes place this Sunday at the South Leeds Stadium, kick off 3pm.
Hunslet have been hit with a number of injuries going into Sunday’s game against the former World Club Champions. Ryan Mallinder and Nyle Flynn miss out after picking up knocks in last Sunday’s victory over North Wales Crusaders. Neither are seen as long term by our medical staff and hopefully both will be back within the next week or so.
Gary Thornton is already without Danny Grimshaw (groin), Niall Walker (appendix) and Brad Foster (hamstring), but we will welcome back Cain Southernwood and Mufaro Mvududu to the squad this week.
New loan signing Josh Jordan-Roberts will also come into the squad, and is in line to make his Hunslet debut.
On the game its self, the whole club is buzzing at the prospect of testing ourselves against the Bulls and GT commented; “We are chomping at the bit to take the Bulls on.
“As soon as this tie was drawn, there was an air of anticipation and excitement about the place.
“We know this will be a step up in class from any of our previous opposition, but it’s the Challenge Cup and its Bradford Bulls, so bring it on, we can’t wait to test ourselves and get into them.”
