Hunslet are Running for Rob – Saturday 4th April from 11am
The Club raised over £560 from the bucket collection held prior to the recent Rhino’s match, and to show our continued support for Rob we are organising a 10k run to raise funds for the Rob Burrow Fund and the Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience (SITraN), who are a world leading centre for research into Motor Neurone Disease.
The 10k run will start from Hunslet’s South Leeds Stadium and finish at the Emerald Headingley Stadium. A major part of the run is along the Leeds Liverpool canal, so its nice and flat !!! Runners will be allocated to groups dependant on their anticipated finish time, with the first (slowest) group setting off at 11am. The last (fastest) group will set off at 11.45am. Your group will be made known to you prior to the event. We would like to thank South Leeds Lakers Running Club who are kindly providing run leaders and pacers on the day.
We ask all runners to make a contribution of either £5, £10, £15, £20+. To ensure every penny of the donation goes towards these two funds there will be no finishers medal or t-shirt.
Anyone under 16 years of age, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
