Hunslet’s ‘Coaches Player of the Year’ for 2024 Cam Berry is back on board for 2025 to test his skills in the Championship.

Berry scored some crucial tries this season for the Parksiders, coming off the bench to devastating effect.

His pace round the ruck and astute Rugby brain showed why Coach Dean Muir and his backroom team gave the nod to Berry, and it’s hoped he can continue that form at a higher level.

Dean Muir commented “In my opinion Cam was the best number 9 in League one last year. He is young still, and at 23 years old and has his best years ahead of him. He is enthusiastic and hard working and we are glad we have secured him for 2025.”

Cam commented “I am very happy to be staying at Hunslet for another year. It’s a great group and I’m confident we can do a job in the Championship.

“I would like to say a big thank you to Dean, Jacko and Trouty for the guidance this year and having faith in me to give me an opportunity to compete in the Championship next season.”

Berry’s 7 tries in 20 appearances speaks for itself, but none was more important than the game changer against Swinton Lions, showing he can be as devastating near the line against Championship opposition as he was against League 1 opposition.
