Update from CEO, Neil Hampshire on potential supporter travel options to Toulouse
“As some of you will be aware, we have been talking to a number of travel companies to try and arrange a group travel option for our away game at Toulouse since the fixture list was confirmed.
Unfortunately, with the date of the game being 22 March, direct flights from Leeds or Manchester are not available. As such, this has limited the ability for the travel companies to offer a financially viable deal.
I know this will be disappointing news, but I wanted to inform you of the situation as early as possible so that people can look to make their own travel arrangements.”
Howโs the team gonna get there Neil ?
Hi Steve, the teams arrangements are sorted directly by Toulouse and they’ve already provided us with details. They will fly out on the Friday from Manchester to Limoges and then be taken by coach from there to Toulouse. They will travel back on the Sunday by Coach to Carcassonne and flight to Manchester.
Fly to Paris and get TGV train down, alternatively, have the club connected charter companies like Multiflight? If enough fans what to go, they could put on a charter jet which the players/fans out of LBA on a day trip there and back?
Shows the error in having French teams (many of whom speak with an antipodean accent) in the league.
Or perhaps that’s just my prejudice.
